American Class

November 11, 2010

I remember being in Italy this summer and having people joke about being viewed as “the ugly American.” It’s such a shame that we get this stereotypical, fanny-pack wearing stamp marked on us, but for many of us who live in America, we know that it’s not true. However, the Europeans have an effortless, pulled together style that certainly sets them apart from most Americans.

Typically, “American blue jeans and a t-shirt” is the pictured uniform in our country for what others picture when they think of American style. Since when was this a bad thing? Paired with a statement bag and some sunglasses, jeans and a top: this outfit is instantly stylish. Natural curls and a classic camel toggle coat (I love the one above), will set the look apart and have you looking anything but ordinary.
