Colors of Fall

October 11, 2010

Every year for the past 3 years, I have been going to the same farm about 30 minutes from where I live and pick apples. To my delight, this year we noticed that the farm had a tomato  field teeming with red & yellow cherry tomatoes. The entire time all I could think about was whipping up a delicious bruschetta or simple sauce as soon as we got home, (which is exactly what we did). I was completely surprised how many perfect little tomatoes I was able to find at this time in the season, but the smells of the plants and colors of the gourds, apples and red & yellow tomatoes we picked finally put me in the fall mood, (even if it was 76 degrees outside!)
